I think the strangest part of the rafting trip was stopping at the 2nd bar along the river. We could hear loud club music blasting as we approached, so we pulled our raft on shore expecting a ton of people. Instead we found DJ Hot Diggity Dog in a makeshift DJ booth and three people standing around drinking cans of beer.

I guess the club music was better than hearing a banjo as we approached, so we probably lucked out there.

Camping right next to this was pretty cool. We went up to Shotgun Eddy in Northern Wisconsin for a rafting trip on the Wolf River.  It ended up being a ton of fun despite some scrapes and bruises from getting flipped out of the raft. 

I think this will definitely turn into an annual thing. It’s gorgeous up there and it’s awesome to get away and be amazed by the stars when you get that far away from everything.
